I was putting on a set of Stoptech SS brake lines and discovered that the replacement banjo bolts on the rear set were incorrect. They were very slightly larger than OEM. They were very snug but tightened ok, then suddenly broke off. I think they were aluminum... lucky the bolt just came right out with a set of pliers.
I opened the front SS brake line package and inspected the banjo bolt and the material looked SS and the threads were very slightly smaller. Fit perfectly...
The OEM banjo bolts are about 23mm in length and the Stoptechs are 20mm because the banjos on the Stoptechs are much thinner than OEM.
Does anyone know the exact thread size / pitch of the OEM caliper banjo bolts? Looking get 2 more locally to complete the set but can't wait for Stoptech to ship a replacement set out. Thanks in advance.
