Hey Everyone.

I have a quick question today. Does anyone know the type of grease they use in the ball joints. I am going to replace the boots on the suspension and want to put new grease in them.

Thanks
Jim

The factory manual lists simply, multi-purpose grease (as opposed to other places where they recommend specifics such as silicone grease and silicone with molybdenum disulfide.) No reason why it should need anything other than normal chassis lube.

BTW, they do make a point of warning against getting grease in the grooves where the boot attaches to the joint, and of course on the shaft where it sticks through the knuckle.

My Acura tech said "just use moly grease" when I redid one of my joints. Cost me a whopping $3 or something like that for a big jar of the stuff from the local auto parts store.
