I just ordered new remote for my Alpine 8070 head unit. I opened the unit up to put in the new rom chip in for it to recognize, but after I pressed reset, nothing happened.. guess theres something wrong with the head unit. Maybe will the battery for it is dead? I noticed theres a rechargeable battery like object connected to its terminals.
Second are all alpine security units interchangeable with the same terminal plug?
I would want to try a known working one to check it out..
