Well, today, as I was backing out of my driveway, I noticed a couple black spots on my rear window cover. I looked more and noticed they're only in one area.
I got out, popped the glass and took a peak. Five or six crumb sized pieces of rubber on the glass and a few more down below by the drive belts. There is also (and has been) a liquid residue sprayed on the glass in an almost straight line from top to bottom directly over the belts. Oil? Water? Lubricant? not sure.
There has been a slight hum coming from my belts lately but nothing out of the oridinary (my car was in the shop the other day for new tires/oil and the guy didn't mention anything about it).
Anyone have any ideas what this could be? And appx. cost to change the drive belts? Timing belt was done about 4,000 miles ago.
Oh and i have the engine cover off for those of you wondering what im talking about
