bad ass robots!!

that's pretty impressive. Honda made such a big deal about about their Asimo robot being able to stand back up after falling down and these things were jumping up and down like it's nothing.

Yeah Robo1 robots are pretty bad ass!!

I think A US company imports one of the kits over to the states... but the price is pretty high.. like $1700....but then again it is 15 high torque servo's so I guess the price is about right...

check it out : http://www.sozbots.com/robo-one/

I just think its pretty impressive that this is all being done @ the hobby level and not some lab!

But Asimo was doing it by itself- these things are still controlled directly by humans, in a "suit" type contraption that mimics their body movements. Still cool to watch, though.

Excellent videos, thanks! It gets me inspired to continue on my "from-scratch" robot project which I put on the shelf a couple of years back...

On that page, they also linked to Mark Tilden's RoboSapien. When I was at CES back in January, the company was showing off their "latest" Robot, which should come out this summer IIRC, which was much bigger and nicer than the original RoboSapien. They also had a couple of other robots, including a raptor which had excellent neck + tail motion, but it couldn't walk worth a damn ;) I think that one still needs some work hehe.

Because the Asimo is the finest robot in the world with human like movements. Asimo is human-sized. Its movement coordinations have not been matched by anything out there. These little guys are a foot tall and have very crude movements and they get up and down using totally human-impossible articulations.
