Today I reinstalled my Exedy twin plate clutch. My OEM Clutch with light flywheel was slipping. When I took my clutch out I noticed that only the friction plate on the flywheel side was worn out. The other plate was like new
Can somebody tell me how this can happen? The clutch was initialized properly. After 10,000 miles I had the clutch initialized again.
I also returned to my OEM ring & Pinion (kept my short gears). The combination of short gears OEM R&P and CTSC seems for me the best combination. The short end gear didn't match the high torque in the midrange revs.
It took only 6 hours to change a complete gearbox and clutch. Thanks to Cees-Jan who did almost all the work.
BTW I had a complete gearbox with short gears and OEM R&P as a reserve.
