well the NSX shootout turned out to be a shutout(yawn), but we made the best of it and still had a blast in vegas...it's just too bad that the shootout turned out to be just an excuse to go to vegas rather then a cool NSX event...
Next time they should make it an event where us N.A's (90% of us) have something to do like an Auto X or even a canyon drive and BBQ or tour de Vegas and there would have been a much better turn out...Oh well, we still had fun regardless at the casino, hotel pool and ate some good food...It would be cool if factor X put on an annual event with more stuff to do NSX related..I know it's easier said then done, but I'm sure they could pull it off..It would be a fun place for an annual event...The road to Vegas has gotten alot better now too, with most of it 3 lanes at least on the way home and not too bad on the way out either...It only took us about 4 hours to get back on sunday (LV to SD) with two stops along the way...Lots of open highway
Hopefully they will have a much better orginized event next time and get more then just two of us So Cal Xer's out there(Nick and I)
on a sad note...there was an NSX parked out front at my hotel(Ballys) in valet all week end that was a disgrace to the NSX...
No offense to the owner, but damn if you are going to spend gobs of money on a rainbow trout paint job(yuck) and custom convertable at least make sure the interior is clean before you display it in public, sheesh...and the huge N.O.S Injected stickers all over it and a big N S X sticker on the windsheild don't help either...
I should have paid off the valet guy too and had him park mine in front of that thing so people would know what an NSX is supposed to look like
