Awesome drive set for 7-22 to Lake Arrowhead

Finally access at my computer and the internet. Had to go check out some properties in Palm Springs and stayed the night. Just getting back and unloading now. Now on to topics;

Thanks everyone for coming. These events wouldn't be so special unless you attended with your beautiful machines. Honestly, Les and I would do these runs by ourselves (oh wait, we already do) but it sure is fun to see all of you lined up and the pictures of rolling through the SoCal backyard is awesome. Great pics so far and I can't wait to see more.

Thanks to Les for a great route. We ran it before but from another direction. No one got lost or too separated and we did show you everything we told you we would. High mountain deserts and lakes, woods, beautiful homes and a nice place to park. Check, check, check and check.

I'd like to thank Mark at Lake Arrowhead Deli for accommodating us. Blocking off the parking , the lunch on the deck, the cool breeze and an incredible Pastrami sandwich. Good times. If you liked the spot I suggest a nice shout out on Yelp! to help spread his fame.

Danny for saving my Go Pro which detached .5 miles into the drive. Thanks a bunch. I owe you a beer.

Patty for the tags and brownies. Very nice touch.

My wife, the trooper. Got a little car sick but hung in there. After lunch there were several people milling about our cars just looking them all over. She spotted this little boy, about 6 years old, standing next to our car with his mother. She goes up to the little boy and asks him "Would you like to sit behind the wheel?" The kid looks at her with that surprised wide eyed look. Pam looks at the boy's Mom to get the OK and opens the door for the kid to climb behind the wheel while Mom snaps a couple of photos. The look on his face was priceless. It was like "Wow, I'm in a real cockpit". Same feeling I had the first time I climbed behind that wheel. Special moment......

I know that some of you couldn't hear me at the drivers meeting, talking about a future drive to Mount Palomar with a side trip to a Spa/Casino for the ladies. I'll be posting up more about that planned event with a lot more detail in the near future to see if there is enough interest.

Thanks all for a great Sunday drive. Let's do it again.

Yes, drive was superb and we had a blast. I am in for that palomar drive, finally something for the ladies entertainment. And of course, patty is a very important asset to the NSX community. Them brownies are worth the trip and the name tags are awesome.

Thanks Patty! Anytime you want another one, just hang around me :wink:
I know who I am sitting next to on the next drive.

Seems like everyone is typing up full on essays about this day, well now its my turn :D

Huge thanks to Les, JC, Jason and whoever else helped pull this drive together (a lil birdy landed on my shoulder and told me Nicole drove Jason's turbo NSX during route planning and was able to keep up with Les better than Jason :D) Patty, the name tags are awesome!

As you guys have read, my car unfortunately decided it wanted to take a break down hwy 18 (rim of the world) towards waterman and 40th st. After lunch, Jason, Nemo, Manny, John and a few others all took off together at the same time and about 3/4 of the way down, my car literally just shut off. I tried putting it in 4th and bump starting it but nada. I still had power and everything (thank goodness) so i was able to engage brakes no problem and coast the remainder of the drive down the hill and into a starbucks parking lot, literally just from momentum. I lucked out that it was all downhill or things could have been much more unpleasant.

Huge thanks to Nemo who stayed back and chilled with me during this mess and Adrian for coming all the way back after getting home to try and troubleshoot the problem. I was also on the phone with my buddy Louis who was actually supposed to car-pool with me, trying to reset the ecu and stuff. Good thing for him he ended up not coming lol. Got it towed all the way home from here to my home in orange county. Thanks Les for getting me Ramon and Nick from applied motorsports number, I did talk to him today regarding my issues.

Going to take apart my ignition switch tonight and troubleshoot with Louis. John (track addict) told me it could also be my igniter going bad. Either way, I'll be taking the car to Ramon's sometime this week if not next week.

Akira, nice shoes bro. I got the same ones and I love them.

Thanks! Adrian, do you run? If so, how much? I've been transitioning to minimalist running shoes over the past year-and-a-half or so...did a nine miler in my Merrell's this morning.
