While there is no mention of the NSX, it is worth a read.

This is interesting.

"Elliott ( executive vice president of auto operations for American Honda Motor Co. Inc) says Acura will decide how to increase power on each product in the next six months. "We're really close to making a decision on a hybrid," he says. Such a vehicle could be powered by a 300-hp engine in the front plus a 100-hp electric motor in back.

He also says the company is considering all-wheel drive, superchargers and turbochargers, but not rwd. But critics say a V-8 is essential. "

I am certainly no market analyst, but I find it difficult if not impossible to believe that people would pay $50k+ for luxo sedan with batteries in it......at least not yet. To add an extra 100HP, I wouls just as well live with the 300 and keep your heavy batteries.

I don't think Hybrid takes a lot of batteries in it, the idea is that It saves the energy when you are coasting and braking, but I guessed it got a bigger alternator to provide the "juice" the motor need...

You guys only focused on the negative... what about this "He also says the company is considering all-wheel drive, superchargers and turbochargers, but not rwd. But critics say a V-8 is essential."

That could mean the next NSX will be AWD, with a turbo or supercharged V6... output would surely be over 400HP.

That is good news... dont you think?

By the way, that is way off what motor trend said about the 2006 car...

I'm sorry but I have to say the AWD/ Turbo part will not impress me at all. V8?? they should get a V10... With the motor screaming right behind my head, Supercharger "whine" would be quite unbearable, don't you think?

Turbo, unless they have some turbo technology like the Evolution/Sti Subaru, (means, fast reaction but by not utilizing little turbos) then it would be fun.

I just read the original link again, it's not even talking anything about the nsx, rather just an option of how the "higher" performance TL and next generation RL... The RL is overdue very very bad, it does not have the performance, options and even the looks are supposed belonging to cars produce 10 years ago.
I remembered when my girl friend buying her TL, I told her, "Don't ask question or even walk near that POS, it will make you look dumb. Only people live in cages would show interest in that...." I'm being so discriminative...
