Automatic trans trouble

I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IN MY '91 NSX. I'M IN THE SOUTHBAY AREA OF LOS ANGELES. CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A MECHANIC THAT SPECIALIZES IN NXSs? IS IT REASONABLE TO CONSIDER REPLACING THE AUTOMATIC TRANS WITH A 6 SPEED?

I have heard good things about John Martin and Cerritos Acura, but I'm sure there are others.

Let me know how things turn out since I have a 95 auto.

+1 for john martin in Cerritos. I hear he's one of the best with transmission work for NSX's.

I have a '95 Auto. My check engine was failing with a transmission code. I talked to a place in Pomona in an auto repair complex off Rio Rancho Road. My mechanic in the same complex has him do all his transmission rebuild work. I was impressed with his advice concerning my problem. I'll take my car to him if my light comes back on again. The prices he quoted were reasonable as well. I can get the cross street if you need it...
