Hey guys -

Do you want to spank the black Civic at your next Autocross?

Come on out to the school where I learned my skills:

SCCA's Cal club is holding it's annual novice school this weekend:

As of today, there are 10 spots availible:

It's only $100, and trust me: it will make you faster than any supercharger when the road turns twisty. It's also a blast, with two days of expert instruction - Day one breaks the course down into a series of elements, and you get a TON of seat time and instruction.

Day two is a full-on autocross day, where your times are recorded and indexed by class.

This will be the best money you ever spend on your car....and possibly, yourself.

Contact Lisa Severy the coordinator, by clicking on the link in the application - it's getting late, so act now if you are interested...

This school is the biggest bang for your buck of anything you could ever do to learn car control. This is the place you can try things that you wouldn't for second try at the track. The instructors are national level drivers. If you want to learn to carve corners, this is the place to do it.

It's a dent-free zone.

Sorry, not enough notice to make it fit. But I did check the schedule and it looks like the school is scheduled again for 10/16 & 17. I'll set that weekend aside. Thanks

No kidding. 2 days notice? My wife's eyes will be rolling if I were to tell her that I'll be gone all weekend.

Gil, I'm with you on 10/16 though.

Yeah, sorry the notice was late but these schools are generally reserved first for SCCA/CSCC members and then other folks. But there's a National Solo2 Tour Competition in Atwater this weekend and many of the guys from down here went up to run with the big guns. So the school didn't sell out like it usually does.

If you want to get in on the October school you'll have to watch the Solo2 message board a few weeks before those dates to get signed up. Barring an event conflict like this time, they fill up really fast. Me, Bill or someone will try and give you a heads-up.

But you will have a blast.
