Does anyone have any official (Acura) documents they can point me to that state where the rev limiter on an automatic NSX should kick-in?

Mine is turning on around 7200 RPM or less (indicated) and the dealer thinks that is normal since peak horsepower is at 7100 RPM.

My previous NSX didn't kick in until 7700 or so, the red line on the tach is at 7500 (and the FAQ states 7500) and it doesn't seem reasonable to me that rev limit would be set so close to peak horsepower.

OTOH, the owner's manual doesn't say anything except I should be able to go 45 MPH in first (I can) and I can't find anything in the service manual...

Was the car fully warmed up? If the automatic is like the manual, the ECU prevents the revs from exceeding ~7100 RPM while the engine is still cold (not up to operating temperature).

Once the car is fully warmed up, you should be able to rev to right around its full 7500 redline, either in neutral or when the accelerator is floored.

I believe it was - engine gauge as high as it ever gets (about 7 minutes at 65MPH) and I know my previous NSX would hit 7500 at the same point in the trip to work.
