i went down to san diego for a weekend trip a few weeks ago. the valet at the hotel that i was staying at dinged up my front fender and bumper. can anyone recommend a good auto body shop that has a lot of experience on nsx's in the los angeles area. i live near downtown la and work in west la so any around those two locations or in between would be great! thanks!

My NSX is at 2020 Auto Body Tech in the City of Industry. I won't know their quality of work untill I get my NSX back on August 29th, but so far they have been very helpful. However, this shop was recommended by NSX owners. Additionally, this shop has worked on many exotic cars besides the NSX's. The phone # is 626 336-6000. Ask for David Huang. He knows the NSX very well.

Good luck!

Bump!

My sedan got keyed Friday night. I got a dirty look from a guy as I was getting out. No idea why--I've never seen him before in my life. Maybe only because I look younger than I am and the car looks like it cost more than it did? Today I found the scratch--DEEP into the front fender above the wheel. It dented the metal in one point, about 10" long total. Trying to stay calm and not end up at that place every night till I see the guy and end up incarcerated.

So, where and how much? I've never had to take a car in to get body work done before. I've found a lot of recommendations with the search tool, but I'm also looking for a ballpark on what this'll cost. I've read they will probably have to paint the entire panel, plus they'll have to do a bit of work to smooth it out first. Thanks a lot.

Depending on the color and the age of the paint, it is likely that not only will the entire panel have to be painted but possibly the door/hood/bumper to "blend" it. My car is down at MVDesignz in Santa Ana...a lot of attention to detail. Talk to Mike Vu...the owner.

Thank you Jesus! I finally got my NSX from 2020 auto body tech after 12 loooong days. The car looks awesome. These guys did a great job. My front bumper had some scratches that were removed and eventually the bumper had to be painted.

Jeff is correct about "blending." In my case the hood was painted and the fenders, which were perfectly fine, had to be painted for the sake of blending the paint.

 You went to 2020 Autobody? Did they charge you a fortune just to do a small section of your car? If your insurance covered it, then its worth it. If you planning to do a custom job, you best increase your credit limit on your credit card before you go in there.

A Toyota Tundra backed up into my NSX causing mostly cosmetic damage. Fortunately their insurance paid for the work, but It was costly. On the positive side, the quality of work was excellent.

Southbay has sixteen customs in gardena and oc has MV auto.
