I've been meaning to host these for ages. Yeah, i'm slow.

There was no NSX or HSC so the show was a little thin... ;) but the Lambo's were nice; especially the aqua Murcielago. And the Carrera GT was awesome. See thumbnails below.

Thanks for the posting the pics NEO:)......it's better late than never!!!

I also attended the Motor Show in Feburary, and although I quite enjoyed it, I was very dissapointed with Honda's contribution........No NSX:mad:

I really fell in love with the silver Porsche Carrera GT that was on show for the first time in Australia........I just couldn't keep my eyes off it!!
The security guy standing next to the car probably thought I was going to try and steal it!!!

Did you get the chance to see the JOSS 'Australian Supercar'.....it certainly looked the goods.....but I wonder if it will go into production???

See ya

John

Woohoo... a reply! Woohoo... from an Aussie! :D

Yeah, Honda was disappointing except it redeemed itself with the following:
1) You could SIT in the Integra Type-R. :D :D :D
2) They had a black S2000 with the canopy down.
3) I asked why there was no NSX, and if there was any NSX material they could hand out. After a minute of talking, the honda guy pulled out a coveted '02 NSX Glossy Brochure (sized between A3 and A4!!!), with high-quality photos!!! :D It made up for the loss immediately... and healed my inner pain. :D

I think the Joss will go into production - they need to recover costs, and it's not a bad car: They might get 1 or 2 sales. :p Only problem is they need to update their website. I checked it out a week after the car show, and it was out of date with NO pictures or detailed information. I emailed them some friendly advice to change that. ;) I wanna see Australia produce some supercars... (hopefully we just rip-off Honda's designs :D )

Oh yeah, the Security Guard on the Carrera GT was a stiff eh? :D I spoke to him but he brushed me off as if I were a diversion. lol. I asked him if he could open the rear so we could take a peak at the engine. LOL How did i know he would say no. :D

hey, guys, i was in melbourne for the car show and F1 race in 99, 00, and 01. i had a heck of a time finding the convention center...i scoured the melways for about a half hour.

then i thought about what else it might be called, so i looked under "Jeff's Shed", and there it was! :D

LOL... I think it's correct name is the "Exhibition Center" ... but everyone calls it Jeff's Shed. :D
It's funny hearing someone from overseas say that.
