At the Melbourne Motorshow three weeks ago Australia's first Supercar was unveiled: a big thing for us Aussie's, but nobody has even mentioned it here... until now.

So what do you guys think?

i think the originality is lacking a bit in the sense the first thing that popped in my mind was mclaren f1 front with a diablo/saleen rear.

Exactly NSXTASY!! That's the first thing that went through my mind!

I'd imagine Honda's in-house designers must be P'd off to the nth degree right now, after seeing these photos. But I'm very impressed nevertheless. A beautiful, beautiful car. Mi like bery maach! :)

NSXTASY, those are very fair comparisions... i could see the similarities too when i saw it in person. But actually, the Joss gave me the impression of "raw aggression" that the HSC doesn't give. To me, the HSC is more refined & "beautiful" in a Honda sort of way. Not "beautiful" like the NSX, but I think all Honda's have a certain touch of sophistication & refinement.

The first two cars i thought of when seeing the Joss was the McLaren F1 (not that i'm complaining ;) ) but also the Zonda. I guess it was just goes back to the raw-aggressive looks again.

i was thinking 'joss' sticks.

The exhaust placed up there isn't a good idea, exhaust waste will end up all over the back of the car!

It has the exact back end og a Diablo

and it is an HSC replica

I think Neo is up to his old photo shop tricks again. lol

Who, me? Would i ever do that? :D
No...seriously, this is not my hackwork. Those images are actually linked from another webforum - i didn't take these photos. You have my word on that.

Jimbo : Yes, that Mosler is VERY similiar... expect that the Mosler's rear looks like a vette-mod. :D That's a good find... i've never heard of the Mosler before.

The front reminds me of the VW W12, but in it, I can see bits from all the other cars mentioned.

Amazing how so many mid-engine cars end up looking so similar. Maybe this can be attributed to form following function (more essential in mid-engine cars as they are generally performance-oriented).

Ha! I found the front end.
Neo.......you can come clean now, is this is your handy work?:D

hahaha... prova4re you crack me up with your relentless pursuit of "the truth". :D
But it seems you can't handle the truth... :p i already gave it. You have my word i didn't photoshop that car.

It's just the lovechild of so many other supercars... :p

they ALL look the same. just minor lil changes here and there.

The aussie car looks good cept the a-pillar and c-pillar. i wish they weren't so rounded to the middle giving the 'cockpit' a bubble like look.

The exhaust pipes coming out of the top of the rear deck have to go. No matter how clean that engine runs, you will still get carbon and vapor crud that would have to be constantly cleaned off.
