Hey guys need your help. I was looking at and going to buy a 91 red in Lake Norman NC

I wired over a 1000 dollar deposit to hold the car, I got a plane ticket to fly up and hand him a USAA cashiers check

he tells me he has never heard of USAA and that I was a scammer.

after I asked for my deposit back he has not replyed back to my texts or e-mails

I had to cancel my plane ticket for this thursday so I ate 189 dollars as I didnt get the insurance on the ticket LOL never again..

I will give him till the end of the day before I place a mechanics lein on his NSX he is tring to sell. and then he cant sell it

How did you hand him a cashier's check already if your flight isn't scheduled to leave until Thursday?
 
^^^ i think he meant that he ordered the flight so that he could give the owner teh cashiers cheque in person.

but all things considered shawn, out of all people it should be VERY easy for you to send him your name, half a dozen rebuild threads of your projects on prime to show him right from the beginning that you're not a scammer of any sorts.
 
he contacted me and wants me to send a pic of the check so he can check if it real. I still want the car. if he would only log onto NSXPRIME and see this thread.

geez.

if anyone knows John ( last name retracted ) with a red NSX in Denver NC Lake Norman area. call him tell him I am a real person not a scammer LOL and to log into NSXPRIME

now he has deleted the ad from craigslist I will be calling the police tomorrow hiring a lawyer he will find out the hard way I am not a scammer.
 
Shawn!! Be aware this car! My buddy who lives in Charlotte did went out look for this car since he wanted NSX so bad. He told me this car drive like sh.tty. Need major maintenance done and front bumper is all effed up! I also lost your number since my phone is stolen. LOL
 
Lol you guys stay tuned for the next update. I really didn't like to find out this happened to Shawn , he only does good for the NSX community. However there is always the people that ruin the fun :(
 
thanks for the heads up about the car. I had plans for it and one thing I did notice is I have never seen an NSX for sale and the pics there was a Bra on the car during the pics.

people put bra's on their car to hide damage. like me.... my front fender is still bent in from my accident last month havent had time to fix it I have the new parts but no time.

so I put a bra on to hide my boo-boo I wonder how bad it is.
 
long story guys, I drove from tampa 8:30am to NC in my 92 NSX got there about 6:30pm, took the police to his house his front door was open but the cops said its common for people here to leave town with the front door open. made a police report they will send to DA's office for review. drove home got home 7:40am this morning I was starting to see things in front of my car like squares and boxes I was so tired thought I was gonna crash
but i made it home safe.

the guy tells me he will return my deposit if I provide him with proof of the check and a phone number to call USAA and see if the check was real then he will send my money back.
I dont know what else to say I have never been so exhausted tring to buy an NSX for a project out of all the NSX's. but this borderlines blackmail

I am going back to bed
 
WOW! You really wanted your deposit back badly huh? That is a long ass road trip, and then the guy isnt even home!

Who would go through all of that work with a fake check? You can call USAA and verify a check 1800531USAA, this guy is clearly a moron.
 
I know he is a lawyer and wouldnt ever once let me finish what i was try and explain to him. laughs me off treated me like I was a 2 year old. he wants me to provide him with a phone number to call USAA
I told him google it.
 
I dont want to say but today

I learned Never Never WIRE money even if they own an NSX NEVER NEVER WIRE MONEY.


I just ate 1000 dollars,

300+ dollars in gas money to drive up and back home
airline ticket 189,
18+ hours of my time
1200 miles added to my NSX

and never mess with a lawyer they know the loop holes, and make your life a living hell.

and ethics is something this guy has never heard of. this whole thing has made me sick, I almost dont want to build NSX's anymore

^ Shawn that is terrbile news. What a prick this guy is! And to think he is a lawyer... Don't worry karma will take care of things sooner or later. Good luck and don't stop building nsx's!
 
under what legal grounds can theft/robbery be justified?

a deposit was sent for a transaction that didnt go through , deposit now needs to be returned.
 
I have wasted enough time on this guy, who does he think he is GOD. can do what ever he wants to anyone, what my question is how many people has he done this to before.
put his car up for sale ask for deposit then magiclly the car has been sold he just pulls it into his garage til next time.

its not the son he seems cool its the know it all lawyer dad that controls his poor son like a puppet. very sad

he told me when he had me audio recorded by his private PI that was following me around town and on the audio tape he calims I called him a nigerian scammer. so he played the race card tells me he is offended because
he is black, him and his son are both black. I looked his son up on facebook he is as white as a ghost. he lied. again. it goes on and on.
I could call all NSX owners to go give him a visit but I am above that. I am above him as I have morals I have a passion for the NSX he has nothing but evil in his heart
its sad for him to show his son how to treat people it makes the next generation of adults have to deal with his son that will prob follow in his dads footsteps.
it makes me sick as I have 2 children.
I am not talking about this anymore

I still need an NSX for my next project and now I am a week behind schedule. thanks dick.

HELP..... its gonna be a certain color thats very rare and not to many produced

HELP... need NSX asap
