I was wondering whether you can actually tell a difference with using the lower perch on the bilsteins and retaining the stock springs. 7/8 of an inch does seem that much. Thanks! (Pics will help!)
I could not get a good before shot, so had to use an old picture. Unfortunately the perspective and lighting was slightly different, but I drew some red lines you can use as a reference point.
I have not had a chance to get alignment done, but I definately plan to. I can't pin down a particular issue, but when driving I get the impression the car would benefit from an alignment.
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Here are some pictures of my car before and after. Hopefully you can tell the difference. The car handles alot better. I also added a set of Dali street swaybars and put the setting on the stiff up front and medium light on the rear. The only thing you will have to worry about is the rear because if you run wide tires like myself, 275/35/18 on 10" wheels, your tire might rub against the spring perch since it is 7/8" lower than stock. I am running a wheel spacer right now until I get 265/35/18 tires. I shaved the spring perches a little for added clearance but since I am taking my car to Thunderhill on 8/6/02, I don't want to take any chances with it rubbing and blowing the tire. Anyway, alignment should not be a problem. Hope this info helps. The ride is very comparable to stock. It actually feels a little better than stock IMO.
