Sorry for the delays in reply. My new VAIO laptop sucks at doing maps, so I had to go *gasp* online to get driving directions.
Okay, looks like we'll be taking the beeline highway.
So the best way is to meet up at 101 / McDowell.
Does anyone know of any McDonald's or fast food places we could meet up at right there, prior to driving east to 87?
Sun, Feb 12, 9:30am - Meet at McDonald's at Hayden / McDowell, about 1 miles West of the 101.
Once we reach Strawberry, I estimate around noon, let's have lunch at a place of our choosing.
If we are on schedule, lunch should be done by 1pm, and we should either explore Strawberry for a little bit, or head back to Phoenix.
We should arrive back to Phoenix around 3-4pm or so.
Also, regarding give-aways, I was planning to purchase a bunch of
resqme's to give to everyone who came, but due to my problems with my laptop, I didn't buy ahead of time. But if you come, I will order and give you it later. A little extra motivation. :tongue:
Also, some ground rules:
-this is to be a leisurely cruise to explore a cool place that most of us have never been to before, so that means safety first!
-We all want to get there in one piece and back, so please refrain from speeding, losing the group, or any other hazardous activity.
-walkie-talkies will be very helpful. I will have a couple cheapie Motorola walkie-talkies that work about a mile or so. If you have them bring them.
