Attention 1998 NSX owners....ECM update!!

Attentionall 1998 NSX owners....have you performed the following service on your car?

Description: RPM drops too quickly when throttle released over 5000 RPM
Notes: 1998 cars serial numbers <= 000239

I would like to know if this is a serious case for all NSX owners with the described year and serial numbers. Anyone with this experience??

I experienced it. It was pretty bad. You let off the gas slightly and the car engine brakes like crazy. It almost felt like the fuel just cuts off and you hit a speed limiter or the TCS just went on. It cuts off HARD.

I had it replaced. But damn it, now the ECU Cover rattles... grrrrr..

There were less than 300 sold in the US so this means almost all of them .........

The ECU was changed before I got delivery of my 0092 in Nov. 98.

I just had my VIN # checked at Los Gatos Acura for all outstanding service campaigns (recalls). They found out that the ECM was replaced last year when it was owned by the Acura dealership where I purchased my NSX.
