I know ARP does not have an application for direct replacement but it appears they can be cross referenced for studs by thread/pitch/length. Does anyone know the ARP part number for the replacment studs? corresponding nuts? or even the thread/pitch/length of the stud?

Jeff

No one? I know that parts catalog says 11 x 164 for OEM. Anyone know the thread pitch?

yes. I don't buy product from Dali (and not at a mystery price). Science of Speed sells them also (at $315+). ARP customer service told me they should be no more that $12-15 per stud/nut/washer for that length-diameter. I would rather buy direct from ARP just need the thread pitch.

FYI, our cost is much higher than you were quoted since this is a custom order part. We've been trying to work with ARP to make it a shelf stock part, however, they so far have not been interested due to the small production batches we have been ordering.

did you get all the info you needed to order this kit? I need to buy a set as well. I woke up this morning and called arp and they said the same thing. I was quoted roughly 17 bucks. My cousin works for CP pistons and made a call. If anybody else wants a kit please feel free to pm me.

I never did get all the info needed.

I ended up going with OEM. After speaking with Shad at Driving Ambition, I decided to go with stock bolts. I am just refreshing the motor. I really don't need the ARP just figured if they were close to the same price may be a nice upgrade. Thanks for all the help.

I have the bolts but they are at my friends shop. I will be there tomorrow night working on my motor. I'll measure them and post all the specs.

the measurements are not from the bolt. You actually need the size from the block dept, head and pitch and overall size or something. I'm still working on getting the size. Maybe cough cough chris cough cough can shine in on this.

I have a bolt right here in my room. I went to home depot and put it on one of those slots and it's a 8mm with a 1.25. But someone said it was a 1.5 at pepboys, that's why I'm a little worried.

Well, if I measure the length of the bolt, the length of the threads, the thread pitch, diameter, and head seat diameter. You should have everything you need to order from ARP.

Shad is installing "DA-120ARP NSX Head Bolt Kit" on my engine today. Are you running boost

If not the stock bolts will be

Bolt Specs:

Thread/Pitch 11 x 1.5
Length under washer (shaft including threads) 164mm
Thread Length 35mm
Washer Diameter (seat) 20.5mm
Distance from bottom of washer to top of bolt (how much the bolt sticks up from the surface) 12mm

That should be all you need to order from ARP

Actually, that is no good. Arp emailed me a head calc sheet and i don't know where to start. I'll take a drive to acura in a few hours with subway lunch and chat with one of the techs. take a look at the sheet.

Why not just buy a set from Shad at Driving Ambitions

I'm sure he has a few sets on the shelf and would give you a discount. He is also using steel inserts in the aluminum head as he has pulled a few threads
