Started this for the Legend guys, but we'd love to have the NSX folks along as well! Here's the thread:

The road is the Apache Trail, Highway 88, running northeast from Apache Junction toward Roosevelt Lake.

PLAN

We will start at 9:45 a.m. (early, I know, but we are less likely to deal with traffic than if we go later).

9:45 a.m. - Meet at parking lot of Macaroni Grill off US 60 and Stapley Drive. If you're eastbound on 60 and get off at Stapley, turn right (south) and take your first left at the light. You'll see Macaroni Grill right there.
10:00 a.m. SHARP - Depart Macaroni Grill parking lot, eastbound on 60
10:20 a.m. Stop at Blimpie/Chevron off Idaho Road in Apache Junction for those who didn't pack a lunch or need to get gas, then head up the canyon
10:45 a.m. Pull off at Needle View Point so Tyson can hook up the Sticky Pod to the back of the coupe so we can catch some footage of the Legends in the curves :)

Enjoy the twisties and the view! This is a cruise where you just want to roll your windows and your moonroof down and enjoy the scenery. We may get stuck behind a slow-moving car or two, but for the most part when I went up it was smooth sailing in both directions. The drive up the canyon itself will probably only take 30-40 minutes until we get to the turnaround.

Then we'll head back down and stop at either use the picnic area near Tortilla Flat or the Acacia Picnic Area. I drove through both of them yesterday and they were wide open, with plenty of parking, tables, shade, and views of the river. Either one will cost us $4 per car. Bring cash.

After we eat, we continue back to AJ with the sticky pod video footage continuing. :)

We won't be taking the entire stretch shown in blue to Roosevelt Lake because it turns to dirt toward the top of the canyon, but the views are spectactular and there's a convenient turnaround right there so we could head back for our picnic at the lakeside.

This is a great drive to do before it gets too hot around here, and it will be good to get us used to driving in a group since we'll all be traveling together up to Vegas in a few weeks!

Very short sticky pod video I made. These curves are AWESOME.

Just a few pics from yesterday's cruise up this highway.

In the background is one of two one-lane bridges we have to cross.

Canyon Lake. The road goes right past it. We will have a picnic nearby on the way back.
