The Dark Side has rented Roebling Road Raceway for May 2-3, 2009 for a Driver Ed Event.
The track is kind enough to host a Lapping Day on Friday, May 1 for those who have plenty of seat time and have been solo for at least one full weekend with a well-respected group (BMW, Chin, Triangle Z, PCA, etc.) It is divided into 2 run groups - 30 minutes each session plus one hour off for lunch all for $150 if you pre-register and $175 if you show up at the track.
We do tech at the track late afternoon, and then again at our host hotel, The Hawthorn Suites (near the Savannah/HHI International Airport) where hospitality starts at 6 p.m.
Our Driver Ed event is 2 days (Sat/Sun) and costs $225 members/$250 for non-members. We do a PCA-style DE, 5 run groups from novice to instructor. On Saturday, we are visited by the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head for a few hours. Their thrill (and mine) is watching our participants line up on pit row and seeing the kids jump into their favorite cars. Our participants take the kids out on a Family Parade (no passing, no speeding, no helmets) and everyone enjoys it.
Saturday night we do a BBQ (a real Southern Pig Pickin') at the track ($10 a head) serve beer and listen to the LIVE, sweet sounds of Annie Allman.
Sunday, we are just a regular, good old DE -- where we hope everyone has had a great time, leaves in the same condition they came in (with just a few more miles on their cars) and want to return in November to do it all again.

If you have any questions - send them my way. I'll answer them... really.
We are trying something new - and electronic roster (but payment is still snail mail - rather give the money to the B&G than paypal - know what I mean?)
We already have one NSX signed on - please don't let them be a loner....
