Wifey and I were out for a drive last night, started on the southside, to Jasper, West end, White Mud and back to the Southside(big stop in the middle)There was a frost heave bump on Jasper about 3-4 inches high! Generally the road conditions around here are deplorable but it really really caught my attention as I dodged around pot holes EVERYWHERE. I actually think that despite all the road work going on for new projects, that the existing blacktop is getting way beyond simple maintenance. In spring after the frost leaves and stops pushing the roads up, things used to level out and be fairly smooth for summer and fall. Not anymore. The left lane on Hwy 2 South is so rough and up and down it get's scary towing the boat to the lake, let alone a little speed in the car:wink: All I ask for is a newly paved road, with lot's of twisties, no light or photo radar about 50 to 60 km long! Preferably starting at the end of my driveway! But I will take any good stretch of roadway at this point!
