Are there any detailers you would use in the Portland area?

After putting in the hours with the Dawn concentrate, clay bar and Zaino (and not thrilled with the results), I thought it best to check with my fellow Primers to see who they would trust the paint on their NSX to.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

I would be interested to find out also.

Personally, I don't see much chatter/action from Portland, but Washington appears very active.

I have used Acura of Lynnwood for my details, and they are by far the best results I have had, and I have tried many. I would contact you local Acura dealership and see how they do.

I did my own detailing with professional equipment and pride. Would do the same for other NSX owners, only catch is I live in Tacoma WA. :)

After detailing the Mattmobile myself (with pretty good results) I received this email from Ron Tonkin Acura.

I'm planning to go; anyone else interested?

I might be able to make that. Will be nice to meet some other NSX owners in PDX...Gresham is not a hotbed of action!!

Matt Tyra of Platinum Detailing....

VERY good (in Sherwood).

The dealers all suck at detailing around here (I've used them all).

Hi Swift, thanks for the info.

I went to the detailing clinic at Ron Tonkin Acura, met Adam Pitale of Adam's polishes (he did a little demo on my car) and bought a Porter Cable 7424 and a bucket of Adams detaiing products. I've enjoyed learning to use the PC and am seeing good results.

I would encourage any NSX owner who details their own car to consider getting a Porter Cable polisher. The tool appears to be idiot proof. It is also nice to have the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

I would be more than willing to share what I've learned and would be interested in learnng more from those with more experience.

Best regards,

Matt
