Are the NSX seats coated leather?

Anyone know if the premium leather seats are coated with polyurethane paint or just the exposed real leather? I’m trying to figure out whether to do a leather treatment this winter or just clean them because they’re painted.

As far as I know, pretty much all automotive leather is coated. The upgraded NSX seats are semi-aniline, which means they are coated. I applied Gyeon Leather Shield, which is a ceramic coating, on mine.

I didn't know you could ceramic coat the interior / leather, tell me more...

Both Cquartz and Gyeon make similar products:

Both are supposed to help prevent or at least reduce staining and dye transfer onto the leather and make cleaning them easier. They are not themselves cleaners or conditioners.
