Are the M3's out yet?

I've seen at least two parked down town in Austin, TX as well. Saw the rear badging/exhaust and thought for a second they were M5's, but that wasn't the case.

Those must be demo cars. No one in the US has claimed to own one on the forums yet. First deliveries are supposed to take place early March, some cars have already been picked up from port while others are waiting. I see one from time to time cruising around Newbury Park where they have BMW Designworks. Irvine BMW is asking $20k above sticker, delivery in April/May. There are a few delays such as the 19" wheels and the M-DCT tranny that can push the build date out several months.

I'm not sure if those or M-DCT test cars or what, but as far as I know demo cars have yet to even hit the dealers yet. The "official launch date" is the 1st or 2nd week of March, I believe. At that point, customer orders will start being delivered to dealers. Unfortunately, I won't be taking delivery of the M3 I ordered, as I can't justify spending that much money on it.

I think in June they are releasing a double clutch 7 speed man! That think revs up to 8400 RPM thats nutts!

I was really hard on the car till I saw the price of the four door. Low price makes a lot of things look better:biggrin:

Less than $60k with cold wx package and leather and moonroof ....drool

I thought the first shipment fell off the ship or something?

Those were all demo cars, none were bound for customers.

Military discount can save you about 6K for coupe. Not sure on 4 door but no CF roof option on sedan.

Plenty here in my neck of the woods of Sydney arrived October last year. But thing is they dont stand out as much as the e46 did relative to their std coupe brothers. maybe 335i so sculpted already.

I sure hope it hauls azz and corners on rails.
Cause it looks like an Nissan Ultima......
Wonder what it weighs in at? 3400+lbs?
IMHO they have really lost focus on the M cars.
Then again, maybe its just me.

$20K over sticker is almost the same price with the M5.

In Southern California for some people it's all about status. People will pay. I refuse to conform, regardless of how fast it is. Im not a status guy otherwise i'd have gone the BMW or Benz route ages ago. My Fit as a DD is sexy enough for me. I spend my extra money to travel.
