I got my RM racing pads in the mail today and they are HAWK pads?? Is this correct or did they send me the wrong thing. The boxes all say HAWK Peformance and the pads themselves say HAWK Performance HP PLUS.

Anyone know?

I'm not sure about the Hawk-Rm connection, but we do carry the regular HP PLus Hawk's here at the Rack, and for $60.00 you can't beat them for the track! I keep a stack of them in the garage, love em!

Well.. i am getting pretty pissed off. I called RM and they told me that hawk has always made the RM pad, but it was just labelled RM, now it doesnt come with the RM label anymore.

So, I got these Hawk HP Plus pads, which I can get at another site for 156.00 vs the 288.56 I paid from RM racing.

I am still investigating here, but i am NOT impressed right now. I paid for RM RACING PADS, not HAWK. I was also told that these pads are not great for NSXPO because they lose performance over 700 degrees.

I am not happy

I would just tell them you dont want them and are sending them back if you didnt install them what would be the problem.

I had always been lead to believe that these were "especially made" for RM Racing and were not reproducable from anyone else.

If this is the same pad we have all been using for years - then it is good news for all of us "fans". OTOH - if it is not and this is a lesser replacement - that is too bad as I really love the RM pads.

The pads that RM Racing has sold in the past were specially made for RM Racing and were not available elsewhere. They were not marked as Hawk pads and did not come in Hawk packaging.

I can only believe that these are different pads. And I agree that this is too bad, because I really liked the RM pads, too. Guess I'll just have to get my pads in the future from Andie Lin, who always provides great advice and great prices on a variety of pads.

That is what I was FALSELY made to believe from the RM salesman. He might have actually believed that himself and was told it by his superiors. I will give him the benefit of the doubt. HOWEVER, if he KNEW i was geting HAWK pads, he should have said something. He was not the least bit suprised when i called about it, so I guess that is pretty poor.

I talked with andie and he is a GREAT guy. Very Helpful. I will be ordering from there and returning these "RM" pads. I will not do business there again.

Hey Matteni and Nsxtasy
Guess what the UPS man delivered to me today,
To bad it didn't come 3 months ago when I really needed it. But at least it is here.
Guess the thought of a market discussion was the motivation that was needed, I now have the clutch as a back up.
