Apparent dead battery...no start

I drove my 1991 NSX this morning but when I tried to go out this afternoon, the car turned over briefly but would not start. As the battery was last changed in 1998 I am assuming that it finally gave in to old age. However I thought it a little strange as it had not been sitting for long since the morning run. There is no corrosion that I can see around the battery.

If anyone has a recommendation for purchasing a replacement battery in the Vancouver BC area, it would be appreciated?

Thanks.

Do you have a multimeter to check the battery? No point buying a new battery if the problem is elsewhere.

As for buying a new battery, you can try Battery World on Boundary Rd. Haven't bought from them myself, but they claim to have every battery. Or, you can have my old battery. I just bought a Braille 9.5 lb battery.

You sure your alternator is working?

If it isnt, your battery could easily be dead again, soon.

When you're driving the car, look at the voltmeter on the dash. Show 12 or 14?

You might have to load test a battery reading adequate voltage (~12.6) as it might not have sufficient capacity anymore (amps). To do this, you would recharge the battery, then run the load test.

10+ years is pretty good between battery changes.

I sort of decided that after getting 11 years out of the battery, I would just replace it and not mess around anymore. It is a relatively inexpensive fix and would logically need to be done in the near future in any case. However I appreciate the information. Thanks.
