Anyway to increase the Key-less entry strength?

Or you can hold it under your chin and with your mouth open press the button. Don't laugh, but your head acts as an amplifier for the signal. I was able to once use a remote from 300yds like this when it would usually only work from 50yds normally.

sorry, just the mental picture of an NSX owner in a parking lot going, "hey ya'll watch this!" i dunno if this would work or not, so not sayin, i could see maybe mouth workin like a parobolic dish maybe, but still the mental pic is funny... outta curiousity, what led you to learn this worked? just got bored one day, and felt like playin with the car? or did ya read this somewhere on the internet?

I think I must have a problem with my system… it sounds like your remotes work as well as standard alarm system remotes. Neither of my two remotes work beyond 15 feet, with new batteries. After closing my door, I also have a few second delay before I can activate. So I can’t activate the remote immediately after I close my door, and if I walk too far away I cant activate it. This sucks in the rain or if you’re impatient.

I have a remote starter on my other car, that has ¼ mile range (with perfect conditions). On this system… I have tested its threshold with the hold it to your chin advise, and can say that it positively made a difference.

It is very true. If you put your remote to your head, the distance of the effect increases substantially. In this case, your whole body works as a giant antenna due to electro magnatics that your body contains.

My wife does not like this idea (she's a doctor), and believe that it MAY have some effect on your brain??

I have done it million times, and I am still alive without a brain tumor..

hmmm....

i dont know much about the istalls on these systems, but could it be an antenna location, and shielding from the alluminum limiting the range possibly? i know that on one of my cars, it works about 50ft infron of it, but well over 100+ from behind, and its keyless entry is located in the trunk, attached to rear seat backing....
just a thought, may help lead to a answer...

but the head and parabolic dish seems to be a tested and proven technique, ill have to try it next time i'm out, and am bored....

I was shown this technique by my cousin. He's an electrical wiz at things and pretty much knows how to rig up anything. Including your head!

I have found that putting the transmitter to your voice box and with your mouth open towards you car you can extend your range a lot. NO JOKE your vocal cords can amplify
the radio frequency and help to aim them.
In a parking lot where you know you are out of range try it.

Using a cell phone pressed against your ear with the antennae up does worse things to your brain.

some crazy suggestions deserve yet more crazy suggestions.

u could also attach a coathanger to the remote... reaches distances of 2-3km, but makes it hard to put the keys in your pocket. :P
