Anyone on the forum working at a company with PeopleSoft ERP software (HRMS, financials, etc.)?

We don't have it but we make s/w that works with it. Why, what's up?

I have a friend who used to work there who may be able to help out. I'll private email you his address

PeopleSoft is one of those topics that tends to bring out strong responses. Actually, I'm asking because I'm a PS contractor/consultant currently at Pharmacia. In theory I'm here until at least next spring, but since the Pfizer deal was announced all bets are off. I just figured I'd fish here for leads. I specialize in customizations (especially bolt-on modules) and tuning of SQL and various processes. So if you know of anyplace looking for an experienced PS technical resource or you are just willing to quietly pass along some contact names, drop me a line.

As for Vantive, I guess I'm not surprised at what I'm hearing. They wanted into CRM quickly so they dropped their development, bought Vantive, and rewrote it with their toolset. One would hope that allowed them to leapfrog past some of their typical early version weaknesses at least functionally, but maybe not. I'd like the longer version of what you dislike like if you don't mind sharing it because they are about to install it here. (If Pfizer doesn't kill it.)
