Hello:

Wondering if any one use JIC-FLTA2 coilover on their X

I just install a set of the JIC FLTA2 on a buddies 97 LEXUS ES300 and the result was amazing. set to the softest setting and adjusted to 2 " lower. Ride was stock like and the coilover controlled and reduce body roll tremendously.

The coilover resulted in much smoother ride and turns. a lot less body roll and tire squeech. and no harsh ride.

Of course this was a ES300 and a not a NSX so coilover suspension improvement was huge.

Anyone with JIC coilovers that can share there ride quality & performance experience?

i have had the coil overs since april, but havent gotten around to putting them because of having to take the car to the body shop, and wanting almost 2 months for a door assembly, now that she 100% again i'll be putting them on this weekend, or abouts then. I'll post a few pics of them out of the box before i put them in, they are sweet looking.

Then i can get rid of these Intrax springs......

Talk To You Soon....

At first I wanted to order Tein kits but friend said just go with JIC. He has been using it on his EVO 3 for years and hasn't broke down. He drive his EVO like a pro (he has rally liscence) very abusive. Price wise I not sure how much.

MSRP on the FLTA2 for NSX is 1900. but who ever pays MSRP now a days anyways. It is about $1700

SF-1 no longer available for NSX. Plus SF-1 lacks 2 way height adjustablity to keep full strut travel and damper adjustment.

You will want the full strut travel.

JIC

I'm bring this thread back because I'm interested in getting coilover this year for my X. I see that the JIC SF-1 is for sale on the Dali site for $1200, does anyone have these on their X and how does it compare to the Teins RA? It seem for the money the JIC coilover is worth looking at.

Charley,
nice pics. How low is your car in the pics? I have eibach and mine seems to be maybe a tad lower than yours. Do you know how much lower you can go with the JIC? What did you have before and how does the JIC compare to them? Have you tracked the car with the JIC, if not have you done some spirited drives with them? Since your is the nondamping adjustable do you wish yours is adjustable?
for some of you who are suspension guru is the damping adjustable necessary for tracking?

Paul

i have the WW kit, with a 17/18 in wheel combo. I have the JIC FLT-A2's on the car now, and i have the LIP about 2 to 3 fingers off the ground. I'll snap some pictures tonight, and post them when i get home..... or if i make it home before this blizzard sets in up here... LOL!

Traction control my *ss. The NSX is now a bob-sled!

My car is pretty low. I made the gap on all four corners exactly the same (I think most people tend to have the front lower). There is exactly one inch gap on all four corners. I know I can go at least another inch lower, but with the WW kit, I would end up scraping all over the place. I have compared to friends with Eibachs. Eibachs are lower in the front, but signficantly higher in the back. I had stock suspension before the JICs. I don't really care for adjustible. I don't track my car, and for street driving, nondampening adjustables are fine.

Damper Adjustment can be helpful on track.

I was tracking my IS300 on Tein Coilovers..set to full firm for responsive handling. I was pretty upset with the oversteering. I couldn't get around as fast as I would like. I dial out the oversteer by softening the rear dampers a few clicks. and it made big difference. Much happier without the rear swinging around.
