Has anyone tried out one of these RamFX Air Filters for the NSX? They're selling on ebay for $32. It looks just like a foam sponge, but claims to be used by many in Indycar racing, etc. The comparison given claims to be more efficient than "oil impregnated cotton gauze filters".

Any comments on the Ramair filter vs. K&N?

I'm currently running Ramair/RamFX filter. When I got my Cantrell AIS, I took out the K&N cone filter and put the OEM airbox back on. I used the factory filter for a while until I talked to Will and he recommended the RamFX filter.

It is a 3 stage filter with 3 different foam densities and it is about an inch thick. I was looking at the K&N drop-in filters and the surface area is actually smaller than stock's. So I took Will's advice.

I have installed the RamFX for around 2k miles and haven't had a chance to inspect the condition yet. But so far so good. A little louder than stock, but not by much. I guess as long as you treat the filter properly, it should do it's job.
