Anyone try this configuration?

I think using 2 apexi n1 NA canister would be great. It looks to have enough room for the canister . Maybe it will have a couple inch extended at the tip from Stock tip length.

shouldn't cost more than $600 or so. Even cheaper if you use Magnaflow cansiter $300 or so.

I don't think it would sound good at all you have no resonators. It would sound Like twin 3 cylinder engines. And you thought a 4 cylinder with an N1 canister sounded bad....

Listen to the sound clips of the S-Tai exhaust on SoS http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/exhaust_airflow_products/NSX/TAITEC/S-Tai_Exhaust/

And it's only $800 or so and actually has somewhat of a tuned sound

That's not something you can just drive around with, and 2 separate N1's would sound more like a snowmobile

Well may be the layout is different, but the Anytime, Taitec JGTC and Dali has a same dual canister approach. And they can sound very different base on the type of canisters you use.

The Taitec S-Tai is actually by-passing the cats. With the size of that canister similar to a Campbell soup can, I'd expect it to be super loud.

I was looking at that system then I had this configuration in mind. I won't take off the Cats. It doesn't offer that much gain to worth the Legality, noise and dirty exhaust stain issues.

I disagree witht he 4 cylinder sound. V6 will never sound like a 4 cylinder. Have you heard the sound of a 300ZX with true duel? The sound is more like a V8 than a bad 4 cylinder engine. I use 300ZX due to the similar V6, 3.0L displacement 24V configuration.

on a 300zx the duel exhaust will play off each other. each bank give a separate pulse so it really sounds nice

Tried this exact exhaust set up on my previous 94 except the mufflers were Apex dunks instead of the n1's. I have to say appearance wise it looked great but sound wise horrible. You could hear the car literally hundreds of feet before you ever saw the car. Sound quality was raspy and distorted. Would not recommend this application.

Dunk is super loud...I would think the N1 would be a little better, but like I had though it would be to raspy/ghetto sounding

........or you can get the Dali SS twin cannister exhaust for $635.00 shipped. They are in stock and sound great. I just installed mine about 2 weeks ago. It has a great low tone!

NMNSX: Do you have any pics of the new exhaust installed? I would like to see what that would look like on our cars.
Thanks

I have a temporary exhaust that a made when i removed my turbo similar to the N1 diagram in the top of the thread.

Its a little loud. But i like. Sounds "so-so" in the lower (under 3500rpm) rev, but once you get to the 4500 to 5000 range, sounds so "metalic" & "racey". I like it.

Now that i have the taitec diffuser, and saving up some money to get the taitec headers and jgtc center exit.

found pic of dual

Yes Apexi Dunk is really loud. Its weird, for a big muffler Dunk is really loud. Maybe that's why the muffler is discountinued.

Just found a pic on ebay. someone selling this car. but it look like this.. Dual 5 zigen mufflers.

I think with Apexi NA and optional Silencer sound can be tuned

The silencers really restrict exhaust flow...on my built prelude it took my two weeks to blow my silencer into little pieces

OK how about opinion on this configuration using

2 Super Turbo 4x9 oval 17675 same end muffler $60 each
or 2 Manaflow SS 5x8 oval 14210 same end muffler $95 each

This will give true dual and plenty of noise subpression.
