I know there are a few here with the RL and I am looking for some longer term opinions. I tried the search, but I couldn't come up with much.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I just looked into leasing one but they could not give me the right numbers so I picked up a 06 TL

It's a mediocre car, I won't miss it when it's gone. Only thing that stands out is the interior. Styling is nice, but on the bland side. It's very small inside. It's underpowered, hp is ok, torque is not. Gas mileage is horrible, I get about 16, it weighs 4000pds. Handling is pretty good, but AWD doesn't mask the 4000pds.

At anywhere close to MSRP it's a bad deal, but for 10k off it's not bad. Acura missed the boat on the RL, sales are plummeting. You should at least look at the GS300, with the new engine it looks good. Also my friend got the M35 and he loves it.

Acura has sold 16,000 RL through November. They sold 6,000 at this time last year. (old car).

It doesn't look like a huge sales flop. They sold 1300 cars in November. Same # as the TSX and nearly as much as the RSX.

The salesman even told me everything thinks the car is not selling, but they sell every one they get.

I concur as I could not even get close to the 40k mark on the car with the salesman..... I have not driven the car but I like the looks of the car over all the other models except the nsx

Acura has lost the prestige factor necessary to sell RL in this very competive segment. 2005 LS430 still outsell the BRAND NEW redesigned RL. LS430 is priced higher and been around for since 2001 and has a new redesign right around the corner. (mid 2006 as 2007 model). Acura really needs to step up and produce a world beater like the NSX once was.
