Anyone own a Mazda3 4 door?

We are looking at buying one over the next couple of months and were wondering what your impressions are. She wanted leather but (it's so stupid) you can only get the leather if you get the "sport package" which gives 17 inch wheels and sidesill extensions. From what I have read, the car handles very badly in the snow with this setup (not surprisingly since they are so low profile v rated tires). In addition, the 17 inch wheels call for $167 tires (at tirerack) which is more than my nsx--thats just not right. Looks like we'll get the moonroof instead of leather and spot package.

Get a tC double split moonroof...pretty decent car for the price.

FYI my gf has a Mazda 3, drives good, but lots of problems for barely a year old. Electrical (headlights turn off when you make a turn), won't start, shifting not consistent (its an automatic). She is currently in litigation with Mazada do get them to buy the POS back as they have tried to fix the car many times and no dice. From the research she has done, it looks like there are other Mazda 3 owners out there that are not happy. Not saying you will have the same problems, but just giving you a heads up.

We had a Mazda 3S and returned it under CA's lemon laws. We did like it a lot but it had too many problems.
