AnyOne Like 'Digable Planets' ??

... like dat!

They are one of my fav' ol' skool jazzy~hip-hop joints! "Cool-Like-Dat" comes to mind, in fact... I've seen them perform a few times when I was in univ' back in the day. Rebirth of Slick, classic stuff!

Wow, this brings back high school memories. I hung out with a large group of asian kids and a few of them had tables and they used to spin Digable Planets, Black Sheep, Das Effects (sp?), etc...
Those parties was a blast. Their parents would have chips and soda for us, it was good clean fun. Oh don't forget a little breakin.

Saw em live, openin for Shade' back in the day. And how cool is it I was taken to the concert by my parents as they were rewarding me for graduating high school. Digable was cool, but Shade' was HOT!

WHO?

Just kidding. I'm just trying to make you feel old.

Miami you should not feel old remembering break dancing in the 90's, kids still do it now and they are crazier then ever!

Sade - All I can say is WOW she is the best. My wife and I had skybox on her last tour when she came to Chicago. That show was awesome! We had a blast. The best part was we could slow dance like dorky love birds in the Sky Box. My wife would hate it if she read this, but she was cute when she had a couple drinks and was singing all the wrong words to me. We even used one of her songs as our wedding song.

I didn't forget about Tribe! They were dope too! I saw digable in concert at the Metro in chicago when they toured with Spearhead, which was a very cool band too! The best part about the show was it was all live instruments! No synthesizers and all that stuff. I even got my ticket signed by Digable Planets after the show because we got lucky and ran into them getting on their tour bus. Cool guys they talked to us for 15mins or so. I wonder if I still have that ticket. It was cool to see them sign doodlebug, butterfly, and ladybug as their names.

I remember having the parachute pants and Members Only jacket back in the 80's.

Talk about old skool, I saw KC and The Sunshine band a couple of weeks ago. I LOVE OLD SKOOL!!!!!!

Hey man I can hang with KC and the Sunshine band. i used to spin in HS and did alot of College parties. I gots everything from big band (Glen Miller Band) to the Bee Gees, to 2pac. I love to mix old with new in the clubs, people trip when they get nastalgic over a song they havent heard in ages.

Ahhh Good Times, Good Times!

Yep, that was the tour. Sorry, I knew I was spelling her name wrong but did not bother to correct myself. God she was wonderful. I thought that tour was in '93? Oh well, I'll ask my parents as their brains are sharper than mine.

And why look for your CD? We have internet baby! Support your music and buy it again.

So how many here will use Digable Planets to start your night and Sade to finish it at least once this weekend? Bring on the romance.

Maybe a little dancin' in the living room. Throw a little Barry White in there for good measure

Then again, it's a bit of a challenge by yourself. You try the whole dip thing and you just end up falling over...LOL!!!! I'ld be safer just sitting down.
