Called Tire Rack and Discount Tire to buy 245-40-17 AO22H tires. Both of them don't have them. Tire rack said 8 weeks. Anyone know of any other sources?
Those are the only places I know of that would be likely to stock them. Most places would need to special order them, probably from the same Yokohama warehouse that is currently unable to provide them to the Tire Rack. You could try contacting Yokohama customer service to ask.
On the Tire Rack website, it appears that they have at least one left rear tire, but they are out of right rears - so if you find a place that has at least a right rear, you're okay. That probably doesn't help you, but I just thought I'd mention it.
If you absolutely can't wait, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a pair of the Bridgestone RE010 OEM tires instead. I know using different tire models front vs rear is not desirable, but the RE010 and the A022H are about as close in performance as two tires could be, so you are not likely to experience any problems in mixing those two particular tires. The RE010 is in stock at the Tire Rack.
Ken, Thanks for the info and offer. I'll play it safe and passon the offer. Will call customer service. Anyone else know who might have 2 rears? Thanks Gary
