I am looking for someone I could ask some questions to for a new product.

Does anyone know anyone I could talk to?

Thanks all.

You have posted this before. I told you my brother does this for a living and has been for over 9 years, makes over 500k a year doing it. He just plays the odds, just like the stock market.

Sorry, I forgot. PM'd you. Thanks.

I thought I was last night for about 10 minutes (of a 3 hour session). I flopped a nut full house on the first hand of the night and I won another hand after that but it was down hill from there. Cold cards all night.......

Last night was a great night for me! My whole table thought I was on tilt at the beginning of the night...here's my first 5 hands:

99 (hit my set on the flop)
KK
AK suited
AK os
88

Then, a bit later, I limp in with J9 os and pull J9 on the flop...BB bets me really hard, I raise, he calls. Turn comes a 9. BB pushes all in...I call...he flips over pocket As and I flip over a full boat :) I won $450 last night online

Some guy called an all in bet of $50 with a pair of 2's (in the pocket) and won. The board paired J's, no flush or straight possibilities, and the raiser had AK, he wasn't happy last night.

What is your brothers name? Anyone making 500K per year would be in the top ten and someone doing it over the last nine years would be in the top three in the world.

You also don't get anywhere near that level by just playing the odds, it take being able to read people incredibly well.

Ditto!

And I love playing poker! I'm addicted. I've even contemplated getting custom plates on the NSX reading..."IM ALL IN" :D

He plays the slots as well at the tables, when I was in Mississippi where he lives I watched him put in 36,000$ to with the 48,000$ jackpot. He plays the odds. It's funny because he does get banned from a lot of places and he is 6 foot 9 so it's very easy to spot him. Cool thing is he has comps for everything. 1 year 2 meals a day from 1 place and tons of comps from others. It's really a cool lifestyle but he is kinda burned out on it right now it seems. I would give his name out but it would be a bad thing. I have never seen him in mags but I never have looked. Also he plays on-line with others for money, poker and other things like chess.

Being comped 2 meals a day is nothing. When I go out to Vegas with my uncle or my dad, we get a suite over looking the mountains on one side and the strip on the other with a jacuzzi on a platform overlooking the sunset. We don't pay for meals and we don't pay for limo's or any other transportation. Both my dad and uncle are diamond members in many casinos and neither makes $500k a year (gambling).

and $36,000 to win $48,000 sucks lol unless its $36000 to win back your $36000 plus $48000 (which it rarely is). Also, it depends on what he had (poker I would presume).

On a side note, I saw a guy named NSXT2 won a lot of money at WPT Shooting Stars from Paradise Poker...anyone know who that is? Is he on this site? Im going to try and play with him, talk some poker, NSXs, and NSXPrime :)

I guess winning 12,000$ in 5 hours sucks, I am sure you do that everyday. and it's 2 meals a day everyday for a year at any place in the casino so about 80-100$ a day in food and that's just one. I was comped every meal a very nice room and anything else I wanted for a week from some of the comps he has. Not trying to get into a pissing match just saying I think it's cool he can eat for free and he also has comps to the gift shops and can get clothes and other items. He did get a limo ride to the orange bowl and get's concert tickets and all kinds of stuff. He is pretty conservitive so I guess I don't have any really flashy stories to say just he has not worked in 9 years and bought a 600k house in cash and will be in Atlanta from now until Feb without having to work.

What most people forget is that these 'gamblers' make $12000 in an hour, but also lose $12,000 in an hour just as quick. Considering it takes about an hour or so to play a SnG and I've won $500 SnGs before, the most I've made in an hour is probably around $3000 (1st place in a SnG and a few other side games I get going).

I haven't gotten into the big big games yet but I do plan on traveling to Vegas in June to play in a few WSOP events. I save a percentage of my tournament winnings to pay for big tournament seats like that. Hopefully I'll place in a few smaller WSOP tourneys and get enough to play the Main Event :) Guy can dream, right??

All I know is, 7,2 off-suit, all-in!
Anyway.. I love playing poker. I have a friend from Vegas who got me into it ~6mos ago, and I've been playing ever since. My favorites are tx holdem and 7 card stud. Poker is a complex sport.

I am not trying to get in a pissing match either, all I was trying to say is there are maybe three people in the world that have made 500K playing poker for the last nine years. Most people probably wouldn't know the names, but I would. If your brother is 6' 9" tall then he isn't anyone of those three people and if he plays slots then he doesn't have a chance of beating the casino's on a regular basis. And like I said before, if he only plays the odds he is going to lose to any of the top poker players very quickly.

And to Brian2by2 casino's give the big rooms and the perks to the losers, so anyone who talks about how much the casino gives them is usually a real sucker that the casino is trying to keep around.

I did some work for a guy many years ago who was a BIG shooter, we went to Atlantic City for a convention and he was able to get everyone in the entire group a room and he has a huge suite with about seven rooms at the Sands. He told me he wasn't going to gamble, but just had to put some chips in play so he gave me five hundred to play. I played for about three hours and finally came back to $550 after being down to 300 on the blackjack table. I cashed out and was taking the money back to him, when I saw him playing blackjack 1,000 / hand and doubling down on 12 against an ace. I watched him lose about 30K in an hour. I guess those room weren't free after all.

He liked to tell a story about him and a buddy that went out to Vegas to stay at the Sands, the largest room wasn't available and they gave him and his buddy large suites but not the one they showed in the movie Oh God. Him and his buddy started playing craps and he was up 180K and his buddy was up about 250K. They cashed out and told the casino that they were going to take the money and go down the street to Trumps because he was going to give him the largest room in the place. They offerered him and his buddy the huge room with all alcohol, food, hookers and anything else they could think of. They stayed at the Sands and had a huge party, the next day they lost everything they won and another 300K, he told the story like he suckered the casino into giving him the room.

He does well, think about the cash back and all of the other stuff, he plays on special day's like 103% payout days and stuff like that, I know he plays the blackjack computers 2 at a time and let's it ride upto 11 times, I just know he has been doing this for 9 years. He is a smart dude, he can work on 2 math problems at the same time writing on one when he is thinking about the other and he also has a photographic memory so I think that helps. He has a team of people he plays with and they hire scouts to find these's 103% payout deals. Most of the time they stop them early and throw him out. about 4 years ago we went to play and he made 50k in about 8 hours of playing blackjack on a card table. There are so many ways to win and I just play 21 and that's about it and stick to the future market because that's all I am good at.

Also it's funny because you are right the winner don't get compped shit. In fact that 2 meal a day card was revoked after he was banned from playing in that casino about 2 months ago.

Its not about winning or losing to get comped...its about how much you put in play because every casino believes that you will eventually be defeated.

Thats why i play poker: no casino odds :) its the only 'gambling' game with a huge amount of skill necessary because you're playing against other people, all who need to be able to play against you :)

As for three people who have made $500K a year for the last 9 years...there are a ton of people who have done that. Now, if you're referring to 3 people on the WSOP tour, then tahts a different story. I would have to say you're referring to Brunson, Ferguson, and probably Harrington??

$500k a year gambling is nothing. You can win $500k in a night and lose $1 million the next day. And most poker players play other games too.

So anyone know who NSXT2 on Paradise Poker is yet??? LOL he played in the WPT last year supposedly and won $24000.

Hi guys,

I am NSXT2 aka Todd Arnold. I used to post on these forums often years ago. My NSX's can be seen in the owner's gallery still.

For more info see www.realpokertraining.com You can also google my name and come up with tons of poker related stuff. I am a writer for Card Player college magazine as well. I am the Ambassador of Paradise poker as well as a sponsored player in the WPT. Among many other ventures. I cashed in the last 4 WPT events as well as 2k NL event at WSOP and the 25k WPT Championships at Bellagio.

The funny thing is if you put NSXT in google, I come up before Acura NSX does. LOL
