There are a lot of people on this board so I figured someone went to school with an movie star, singer, professional athlete, etc. Share some stories if you have any.

didn't go to school with any celebs but we did have a few famous alumni, most notably....

Snoop Doggy Dog @ Long Beach Poly High. Warren G @ Long Beach Jordan. A lot of hip hop artists came from these schools as well. Met both of them at Warren's house in Lakewood.

Willie McGinest NFL Probowler for Patriots @ Poly.

College I won't count because I went to UCLA, too big. I did see Urkel and Winnie Cooper from Wonder Years around campus a lot. One of the biggest people I've ever seen was Jonathan Ogden who now plays on the Ravens.

I didn't go to school with anyone famous, but I once handled a claim for "Jenna"

hmmm... My former college roomie & bestfriend went to h/s at North Allegheny (PA) w/ Christina Aguilera. I went to college at U.Pitt w/ Curtis Martin of the NY Jets. He was a nice, low-key guy. I mostly saw him on crutches though. A kid I use to play around in the neighborhood w/ and later went to the same h/s (West Allegheny, PA), he's now the starting quarterback at U.Pitt (this year went to the Fiesta Bowl) and slated to be the next Steve Young in the NFL (well, time will tell). His name is Tyler Palko.

I went to high school with Aaron Glen (Defensive back for the Houston Texans)

The singer and the guitar player for the one hit wonder band called Deep Blue Something were in my fraternity in college. They sang that song "Breakfast at Tiffany's"

Just myself, was in the movie Fast Company filmed here in the late 70's.

I did go drinking on occasion with Keith Tkachuk and Tony Amonte while I was at BU. The other big name person to have graduated from BU, although way before my time, was Howard Stern.

I dated, in the past, someone who I think will be famous someday. When we would go to Martha's Vineyard in the summer people would ask her if she was famous. She looks and acts the part of a famous person.

You knew that person? Why didn't you strangle him then so I wouldn't want to now, every time I hear that song on the radio?!

I was at a Blockbuster video store, and two kids came up calling me, "Jackie Chen, Jackie Chen!!!" They asked for my autograph and I did

So, I guess that makes me Jackie Chen, and you guys are reading Jackie Chen's post everyday

We have several NFL football and MLB players for customers and we did an Escalade for the Young Bloods(rappers). I guess the most notable player would be Matt Lawton from the Clevland Indians(7.25million/year). I think he hit 26 homeruns last year. My bestfriends cousin is Brian Marshall of Creed. They stayed with us many times when they were together(now they are called Alter Bridge minus Scott Stapp). 3 doors down is also from this area, I have met them, but they are much younger than me, so I didnt go to school with them.

yes, though i'll use my own interpretation of the phrase "superstar".

my two best friends and i have been best friends for 38 years. we came from pretty humble backgrounds and each of them have "done well" for themselves - one is a harvard-graduated m.d. (j.c., berkeley, harvard, stanford fellow) who put himself through college as an electrician (got tired of crawling through structures and running wires, so went to med school); the other is an ATP pilot/AF war vet (1st gulf exercise) who is getting the short end of the stick in the post 911 airline meltdown but nonetheless, continues on.

these guys are *my* superstars :) sentimental mode off, be well, all.

Dylan McDermott but he was known as Mark McDermott when he went to Fordham with me. Denzel Washington is also a Fordham alum and first got noticed after starring in the Fordham production of Othello.

I didnt go to school with anyone famous but I do have a celeb. entering my family. Here is how it goes. My Dad's sister is my Aunt Barbara. Her husband is named Larry and his nephew (his brother's son) is named Jordan Bratman and is currently engaged to Christina Aguilara. Interesting eh?

Wait, my head is spinning. Can you put that into a chart or something?

Is she that famous now that you dont even have to mention her last name....lol.....I have met her twice and she has a great personality as well as other things.

I personnally didn't but my wife went to CalArts with Sofia Coppola (film director, Francis Ford Coppola's daughter, not really a friend) and Mario Calire (drummer for the Wallflowers, a really good friend).

I didn't go to 'school' with this person but did go thru many weeks of class with them. When my wife and I where engaged and wanted to get married at a rather large church here, we had to go thru a 12 week engaged couples class before being allowed to get married there.
Anyway, Kyle Brady TE for the Jacksonville Jaguars was in our class. Very big boy indeed. Funny thing, you were only allowed to miss 3 classes before you would have to start again. Well apparently that rule doesn't apply to ALL the people going thru it. If you know what I mean.

Gee! I feel so out of it. I don't know 90% of the "famous" people mentioned in this thread. When we lived in Santa Barbara it was not too uncommon to see Opra, Richard Geer, Steve Martin, Jack Nichelson (sp), Brad Pitt, Kevin Costner, Sigourner Weaver, Kathy Irland, Bo Derek, Kenny Login et. al. Most of them lived there. One reason they live there is that people like me couldn't care less and were not too impressed.

P.S. Please be advise that Michael Jackson does not apply to this reply.
