Tomorrow I am picking up a new winter beater in Milwaukee 90 mile drive. I will be using a rented U-Haul tow dolly. (The ones where the front wheels of the towed car are on a trailer and the rear wheels are on the road)

Any precautions I should know about?

Thanks guys in advance! What a wealth of knowledge on this site!

I use a tow dolly to tow my race car. Tighten the straps when you load up the car, tow it for about a mile or two and stop and recheck the straps for tightness. Don't forget to have the car in neutral and the parking brake off. Also, when you load up the car, make sure you use the parking brake on your tow vehicle or you could damage your transmission. Hope this helps.
