Wondered what I would pay for a block to rebuild? Anyone have any idea what just the block would cost, preferably a blown up one.
Anyone ever price a blown motor or just the block.

Perhaps you need to be a little more clear.
Rebuilding - are you talking about a minor freshening up like replacing bearings and rings or more extensive work like oil pump gears, pistons, sleeves, deck, etc, etc, etc? Not knowing which extreme you are interested in, for the purposes of discusion, $4-5000 is not an unreasonable figure.
Just the block, a blown up block? I know of one that sold for $600. But ya get what you pay for.....that block was later determined that its only good use is as a boat anchor. I also know of a used block that was suspected of having burned rings being sold for $1500. Again, ya get what you pay for.

Actually I looking for something that I could have sleeved, fresh machine work, and Pistons. Would like to build it for boost. Thanks for the help!
