Anybody order from SoS straight to Canada?

I normally ship car parts to CBI in Niagara and drive down to pick them up in a batch to avoid paying the ridiculous and seemingly random brokerage fees charged primarily by shippers like UPS. SoS says they will only ship to your billing address however. Has anybody ordered stuff from them straight to an address in Canada? If so, did you get dinged badly on the brokerage (or at all?) Who did they ship with - UPS, USPS, FedEx, other?

I have ordered stuff from them twice. Both times was not charged any brokerage fees or duties (but I forget the shipping company that they used).

On a sidenote they ship it out extremely fast! Excellent service.

I bought some parts from SOS in March. They valued the parts at half price on the invoices and UPS still charged almost $250 in brokerage. I didn't tell them to use USPS (I assumed they would). I called back a few days later to double check and it was already sent UPS

I suppose you have to specifically request it, UPS is the worst culprit for this but I've heard it happen on FedEx and even USPS on occasion, although UPS always has the worst brokerage fees - their costs for clearing customs are ridiculous. I think it's how they offset the 'free shipping within the lower 48 states' most companies offer with them!

Thanks guys. Time to go shopping. :)

I purchased the ABS upgrade kit from SoS in March. It is a big package and they worked with me to find the least expensive shipping method. They were even willing to ship in two separate packages in order to use USPS.
In the end we used UPS and they valued the parts at less than 50% to save me money. They did all the work and was the one saving the money.
These guys are a class act. I put SoS on the the top of the NSX vendor list.

I have never heard anything negative about them either.
