Hey..Has anyone experienced or know of anyone who has had problems with Nitto 555 tires with 35 or lower series tires in dry and/or hot climates similiar to Las Vegas? People at this shop KAO Auto House here told me that MANY people have had problems with low profile Nitto tires having the sidewalls crack and/or having tire blowouts. They said many shops here used to carry Nitto tires, but because of these problems that they said was so widespread, no shops in LV carry Nitto no more...Any truth to this? They said most of the tires failed within 3-12 months...

i had nittos on my mr2,after 3k miles or so one bubbled, another the sidewall cracked and exposed the steel belt, but im in ny its not as dry or hot as las vegas

I have the nitto 450 on my prelude Si for 2 years and did not have any problem. The nitto 450 handle great, but not good in the rain IMO.

I have the Nitto 450's and they are positively the WORST tires I've ever had. I can't burn the frickin' things off - I've put 20,000 miles on them. That's double the life of typical NSX rears. Take them to the track and they're awful. . .drive them on the street and they're awful. . .drive them in the rain and they're awful. Did I mention they're awful? Cement blocks give better traction. These awful tires AND Adam Sawaturi's horrible attitude towards NSX owners are the reasons why I'll never buy anything from Nitto.

I'm running the Nitto 555's in 225/35/18. I love the tires...

they are a much different design than the 450's. These have a much softer compound with very good grip.
