any words for a possible future NSX owner?

I'm currently in the market for a new car (new car for me), I've been looking around at a couple different types of cars, 996 turbo, NSX, lotus, etc. What should I expect when I drive an NSX compared to any other cars in its class?

Much more exotic and better looking. Slower in a straight line unless FI'd. Rare. Far superior.

Sorry.
There is no other car in its class.
Seriously.
Perhaps the 360 Ferrari but with less HP and more reliability.

Cost-wise 996GT3's are close with the same measure of uniqueness.
