Any thoughts about Falken Beta series tires?

Well it would seem that you're in the best position to give feedbacks.

What about not only the Falken betas..
what do you guys thing about Falkens in General.. even on your other cars.. ?

We ran 225x35x17 and 285x30x18 GRB FK451's last week at Pahrump. Brand new out of the box we seemed to get more push than we wanted. But adjusting hot pressures to 30f/35r we reduced this to slight initial push easily modulated with throttle; moderate = oversteer; heavy = understeer.

Things we will try next to lower laps times;
1) try fitting the 245X35x17 in front, no fenderliners; anyone out there tried this size?
2) Nitrogen fill to decrease cold to hot pressure delta
3) Shaving to 4/32s

These tires are one of the few choices we have left to maintain or our stock rolling ratios when plus sizing.

Don't know how they'll do in the rain yet; it was dry all weekend :-)

The Azenis is a pretty darn good tire.

On the street, the Azenis sticks very well on dry pavement. It doesn't do all that well on wet pavement, particularly as it wears down. It is popular among the import set, in part because it is quite inexpensive.

On the track, although it looks like an R compound tire, it's neither as sticky nor as capable of handling high temperatures as a true R compound tire.

It also tends to be much wider than other tires of the same size...

No wonder your car is used by Falken for their advertising. Looks very cool.

I think thats why tires.com quote it as "exotic" looks. And for me I got not much options from Tires.com for my size

I am using falkan z05's, I think. They stick really well on dry ground, nice and grippy feeling, decent on wet, but man on ice they immeadeately harden up and slide all around on you. YOu can get into slides going straight at under 20 m ph by tapping on the brakes with them. Really, really dangerous in snow.
