Any recommendations for wheel repair in SoCal?

Not mine, but my friend needs a reference for wheel repair for a stock S2000 alloy wheel. Wicked bit of rash/damage from an errant piece of concrete in the road.

Preferably something in LA/IE rather than OC/SD.

Why do you say that? I hav had nothing but GREAT service and support from Wheels America. I have had 6 wheels refinished there with no problem.

I think that Wheels America location moved to Santa Fe Springs in the last few years, and I agree, I wouldn't go to them again, either. TruWheel was better, though my experience with them was like 10 years ago.

I took a set of BBS RS to WA, and though the structural repairs were fine, they couldn't match the factory finish (machined center/lip w/clearcoat), and they didn't prep the painted parts at all (paint oversprayed over old weight tape, for example).

Haven't had an experience with Tru Wheel yet, but I will from other referrals I've received. Plus majority so far chooses Tru Wheel, imo. :smile:
