Any Mecerdes experts in da' howse?

I've been looking for some time now for an older Mercedes Coupe for my wife for, don't laugh, Christmas. Guess what? I'm running out of time. I was thinking of a 71'-'75 w/under 100k miles in excellent cond. I know she likes the SL 380? The Coupe w/the 350 ci in it. Hopefully automatic.

How much should I expect to pay for this if I find it? I have been looking on ebay but prefer to buy in person in NY or NE given it's the 11th hour. Any idea how much $$ is realistic?
