Any help from IS300 owners?

Hello- I know there are some with this car here....was wondering what type of oil is used in this (for a friend) what comes in it from the factory.i dont think it needs synthetic?.and also if you should use OEM filters...I know best practice is to, but wanted some more input...thanks

The recommend oil vicosity is printed on the oil cap, I believe 5w30, the oil filter is only lists for $6 or less for the oem. Why bother using anything else?
Oil capacity is 5.5 qts with filter change.
