I just recently started eating dates after trying a Medjool variety while in California.

Question about eating them though, are you supposed to wash the exterior of the fruit before eating as you would with an apple or another fruit where you eat the skin?

And if you eat them properly, you will have more dates.

dried-fruit/dates/etc...

I'm an avid date (pitted/unpitted) eater... what procedure would you suggest to properly cleanse them prior to consumption? When they come packaged, often they are sticky/gummy, handling them is a bit challenging.

Thanks...

I just started laughing out loud at work when I read that!

The best prepared Dates I have eaten were pitted, wrapped in bacon and then pan fried to be served as a Tilapia at a Mexican restaurant in Chicago. A bit too sweet for my tastes, but I would recommend it to experienced and experimental eaters.

Sounds painful!

I like dates. Only got free ones in the month of Ramadan (fasting) from his majesty the Sultan.

First…..

And if you eat them properly, you will have more dates.

Then…..

I just started laughing out loud at work when I read that!

But…..

If you go grocery shopping, do not leave your dates in the car while you are at the golf driving range. When you do take pleasure with your dates, you might find them to be a bit malodorous.

Where is Armando?

Us Latins have been eating "Dates" for years.................... If you have to even consider washing your "Dates" before eating then I suggest finding your "Dates" elsewhere.
