There are a few posts on this ABS noise. It is the system being activated that makes the sound, I think a few members have had good results with flushing the system at the dealer or at home (danoland instructions?) I think members recommend activating your ABS on purpose from time to time to keep the system lubed up and in working order.

I don't think it should affect your normal driving.

It sounds like the ABS motor running is the noise. Try to find a road that is gravel or sand covered. Wet smooth asphalt road is good too. What you neet to do is cycle the ABS valves to try to get them to reseal and stop the ABS pump from cycling. The cycling of the pump is from a loss of pressure in the accumulator that the pressure switch monitors. The dealer has a box that plugs into a connector under the glove box on the passengers side of the car. This box will cycle the valves in the ABS module and "Kick Back" the brake pedal. The mechanic at my local dealership told me that sometimes this box will not activate the valves fast enough to get them to seal back up. He said that many times they have had to drive the car on a slick road to get the pump to stop cycling.

I am currently working through these same issues on my car. I have made the wiring harness to operate the pump and cycle the valves in the ABS module. I used the DIY that is here on Prime. The DIY is teriffic. I am still having problems with my unit. I think that I have an O-ring in the module on one of the actuators that is leaking and causing the pump to run intermittently. I am going to dissassemble the ABS module and inspect the o-rings. If I have any worn o-rings I will see if I can find some replacements. The dealer does not list any parts for the ABS module. They will sell you a rebuilt unit for like $450. I think that there is a liability issue in selling the replacement parts for the ABS unit.

If anyone has a part number for the o-rings please let me know.
